5. Peel rubber run out of metal channel and pull down
ward (fig. 43).
6. Rotate channel outward and lift from door access
opening (fig. 44).
7. Reinstall window regulator handle and lower glass
assembly to bottom of door.
8. Remove ventilator assembly (see above).
9. Slide glass forward to opening notched in regulator
roller channel.
10. Next, slant window glass rearward for complete dis
engagement.
11. Lift glass upward, out of door.
Installation
Install glass or sash in reverse order of removal.
WINDOW REGULATOR REPLACEMENT (Fig. 45)
Removal
1. Wind window all the way up.
2. Remove inside door handles with Tool J-7797.
3. Remove door trim pad secured with 4 screws.
4. Remove 4 screws securing regulator to inner panel.
5. Push regulator out of circular opening while holding
rear of assembly, then slide assembly to the notches
in the carrier channel and out through the door ac
cess hole.
Installation
Install regulator in reverse order of removal, lubricate
regulator gears with lubriplate.

DOOR OPENING WEATHERSTRIP
Side Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement
Side door sealing incorporates an inner seal. The
inner seal is mounted on the body opening welding flange
(fig. 46) and goes completely around the periphery of the
opening. The molded weatherstrip material is cemented
(fig. 46).
Success of weatherstrip replacement depends entirely
upon the quality of the cement used and the care with
which it is applied. A ll rust, road dirt and grease or oil
must be completely removed as should all old cement and
bits of old weatherstrip. After removing all foreign ma
terial from door opening surface, wipe down with prepsol
