4. Connect the valve return spring. Connect the vacuum
hose to the actuator.
PLENUM AIR VALVE
Rem oval (Fig. 44)
L Remove cowl grille panel. Refer to Section 11.
2. Disconnect the diaphragm link from the connecting
shaft arm.
3. Remove the screw attaching the connecting shaft to
the tube extending forward from the valve.
4. Remove the screws attaching the nylon bearing plate
to the firewall and slide it forward. Remove valve
return spring.
5. Pull the rear valve pivot pin forward against spring
tension until it clears the rear bearing. Lift the
valve at the rear and withdraw the valve shaft from
the firewall.
