SERVICE OPERATION—40 THRU 60 SERIES, P20-30
FRONT BUMPER—C, S, M40, 50, 60 AND
P20, 30, 40 MODELS (Fig. 6)
Rem oval
1. Remove bolts attaching face bar to left and right
bumper brackets.
2. Remove bolts securing face bar to frame and remove
bumper from vehicle.
NOTE:
If necessary to remove bumper brack­
ets from frame, drive out rivets and remove
brackets. Install brackets using bolts, washers,
and nuts.
Installation
Install bumper following the removal procedure in re ­
verse order. Refer to torque specifications in rear of
manual for correct torque values.
FRONT BUMPER—T MODELS (Fig. 7)
Rem oval
NOTE: On tilt cab models equipped with air
brakes, the air reservoir tank mounted inside
the front bumper must be removed before re­
moving front bumper.
1. On T models with air brakes, vent air pressure from
system and remove air reservoir from inside front
bumper.
2. Remove bolts securing bumper to frame extensions
as shown in Figure 8. After bumper removal, bump­
er fille r bar may be removed by removal of three
retaining bolts.
Installation
Install bumper following removal procedure in reverse
order.
