Appendix F – Firmware Upgrade
This section provides the instructions on how to upgrade the PMC-592 Firmware to a higher version.
Before upgrading, please make sure that the new Firmware file is already on your computer and that
the PMC-592 is on the same IP network as the computer that is being used to perform the upgrade.

1.
Enter the IP Address of the PMC-592 in the Address area of your Internet Explorer and then
press
<Enter>
.
2.
Log onto the Web Interface by clicking on the
Login
icon at the upper right-hand corner and
enter the password (default password of ‘user’ = 0000) at the Login dialog box.
3.
Identify the present firmware version. Click
Diagnostics => About
on the left-hand pane and
the following screen appears on the right-hand pane, and then check
Firmware Version
and
Firmware Date
.
4.
Backup existing configuration.
1)
Click
Diagnostics => Maintenance => Backup & Restore
on the left-hand pane and the
following screen appears on the right-hand pane and then click
Backup.
Select
Save
or
Save as…
from the prompt at the bottom of the page.
