No device (ODU) detected
LED state:
PoE type 9001GR: PORT is on yellow (steady).
PoE type PD7001: AC is on green (steady) and PORT is off.
Meaning
: The PoE power supply is receiving power from an AC outlet, but no device
(ODU) is detected at the DATA & POWER OUT port.
Action
: Test the network and ODU connections:
x
Remove the network cable from the DATA IN port. Examine it for signs of damage.
Replace it if it is supect.
x
Remove the ODU cable from the DATA & POWER OUT port. Examine it for signs of
damage. Check that the ODU cable resistances are correct, as specified in
Testing

. Replace it if it is suspect.
Device (ODU) detected
LED state:
PoE type 9001GR: PORT is on green (steady).
PoE type PD7001: AC and PORT are on green (steady).
Meaning
: A device (ODU) is detected at the DATA & POWER OUT port.
Action
: If, in spite of this, a fault is suspected in the link end hardware, check for the error
condition described in the following note:
If the ODU is disconnected from the LPU but the LPU remains connected to the PoE, the
Port LED may remain in the green (steady) state. The Port LED will only return to yellow
if the LPU is disconnected.
If this error is not found, follow the Ethernet packet test flowchart (
Figure 57
) and
procedures below.
