selection. The tape direction arrow will blink during
seek. The sound will mute while searching for the
next selection.
REV 4 (Reverse): Press this pushbutton to rapidly
reverse the tape to the beginning of the cassette or
until you press REV again. The radio will play the last
selected station while reversing the tape. The tape
direction arrow will blink during the reverse operation.
D 5 (Dolby): Press this pushbutton to reduce
cassette tape noise. The double
-
D symbol will appear
on the display while the player is in this mode.

FWD 6 (Forward): Press this pushbutton to rapidly
forward the tape to the end of the cassette or until you
press FWD again. The radio will play the last selected
station while forwarding the tape. The tape direction
arrow will blink during the forward operation.
SEEK
: Pressing the left arrow works the same
as the PREV pushbutton and pressing the right arrow
works the same as the NEXT pushbutton. A minimum
three

arrow will blink and the sound will mute while searching
for the next or previous selection.
AM FM: Press this button to switch from playing a tape
to listening to the radio.
TAPE: Press this button to play a tape if you have a tape
loaded in the cassette tape player and the radio is turned
on. When a tape is playing, a lighted arrow will appear
on the display and show the direction of play. If the
radio is turned off, the tape will remain in the player
and resume playing at the point where it stopped.
EJECT: Press this button to stop a tape when it is
playing or to eject a tape when it is not playing.
Eject can be used with either the ignition or radio off.
To load a cassette tape with the ignition or radio off,
press EJECT before loading the cassette.
CHANGER: Press this button to play a CD if you have
a CD loaded in the CD changer. When a CD is playing
the disc number and track number will be displayed.
Press this button again and elapsed time will appear on
the display. See “Compact Disc Changer” later in
this section.
