A pincount switch on the top of the elevator monitors pins leaving the elevator. See
Figure 1-9.
Using
this switch signal, the electronics sends voltage to the shark solenoid as needed so that the shark fin will
force the pin to the right side of the distributor. The pins will alternate between the left and the right side
of the distributor in the following repeating pattern; Left, Right , Left, Left, Right.
