10.2.2.8 Storage batteries: charging status
The charging status of the storage batteries is displayed on screen. The illustrations correspond to
the following
charging statuses:
•
When the handset is on the charging station, flashing or lit up segments indicate charging or the
charging status (as long as the screen backlight is activated).
•
If you place the handset back on the charging station, with the storage batteries fully
discharged, you have to wait for some time for a display to appear. This process may take a
few minutes and does not indicate any fault.
•
Even if the handset is deactivated, the storage batteries discharge slowly.
10.2.2.9 Warning concerning the storage batteries
When the capacity of the storage batteries is almost exhausted, the storage battery icon flashes on
screen and you will hear 3 short beeps every minute as a warning signal (which you can deactivate
in the Audio menu > Info tone). If you are on line, you still have maximum 5 minutes of
conversation before the handset is powered off.
10.2.3
Registering the handset
To integrate the handset into the existing wireless network (WLAN) and register it for an access
point (AP), some preparations and programming are necessary. To obtain a detailed description of
the corresponding steps, see “Registering the handset”, p. 10.
You can register five “profiles” on the handset. These profiles comprise the accounts for the
different five WLAN configurations. If you switch from one WLAN network to another, selecting the
corresponding profile will enable you to telephone without waiting.
For more information about profiles, see the System menu > Network > Profiles,
