It may be possible to configure the SMARTSTART 6000 in
6 wire configuration with the CT’s internal. This is subject
to the maximum current rating of the bus bar for each
size soft starter.
Warning
The current in the ‘LINE L1,L2,L3’ is 1.732x the phase
currents of the motor and the soft starter. The input
terminals, wiring and bus bar must be rated to operate at
these levels continuously. If the continuous current is
exceeded the bus bar temperature may rise above
acceptable levels.
For a 6 Wire configuration using internal CT’s, the motor
rated FLC must be within the rating of the soft starter and
less than the Maximum bus bar current specified in below.
Chassis A3
(6R360)
The 6R360 will operate at its full rating using internal CT’s.
Refer to Selection table below or Page 40 ‐ 41.
(6R580, 6R830)
The 6R580 and 6R830 is limited to a maximum of
830Amps. To achieve the full rating of the soft starter
above this current external CT’s are required.
Chassis A2
(6R100, 6R190, 6R220 )
The above soft Starters will operate at their full rating
using internal CT’s. Refer to Selection table below or Page
40 ‐ 41.
