13.1 Application and function of SSM
relay
The contact of the collective fault signal (SSM, potential-free changeover contact) can
be connected to a building automation system. The SSM relay can either switch on only
in case of fault or for faults and warnings. The SSM relay can be used as a normally
closed contact or a normally open contact.

When the pump is without power, the NC contact is closed.
ƒ
If there is a fault, the contact at NC is open. The converter bridge to NO is closed.
In the “Settings” menu , select
1. “External interfaces”
2. “SSM relay function”.
Possible settings:
Selection option Function SSM relay
Only fault (factory setting) SSM relay connects only in case of fault. Fault
means: the pump is not running.
Faults and warnings SSM relay connects only in case of fault or a warn-
ing.

After confirming one of the selection options, the SSM trigger delay and SSM reset
delay are entered.
