Removing the FlexJet Head
Remove a FlexJet Head from a platform machine using the following
procedure.
Use Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) precautionary measures, such as a
grounded wrist strap, when working on the FlexJet Head.
Initial Steps
Complete the steps in the Prepare the Machine for Maintenance section of
this document to ensure that the machine is in a safe state for maintenance.
The machine must be powered down and the site's Lockout/Tagout
procedure executed during this procedure to ensure personal safety.
Disconnect the Electrical and Pneumatic Cables
It is important to disconnect the HD INTF2 (Power) Cable Assembly last
to protect the circuitry from ESD.
1.
Disconnect the HD INTF1 Cable Assembly and CAM INTF Cable
Assembly. Refer to the following diagram.

Disconnect the HD INTF2 (Power) Cable Assembly last.
3.
Disconnect the input pneumatic line from the FlexJet Head.
4.
If the machine will be used without the head mounted, perform steps 4a
through 4c so that the PEC camera is operational. Otherwise, continue
with the Final Steps section.
