2.4.4 INPUT-OUTPUT SECTION
The input-output section comprises the following terminals:
z
16 terminals for the zone inputs (Z1...Z16) permitting the connection of traditional wired devices
z
8 common terminals for detectors and tamper (COM)
z
8 pairs of terminals for the detector power supply outputs (+, -)
z
1 terminal for the tamper input (ZT)
z
4 terminals for the indoor and outdoor siren outputs (+SRA, -SRA, +SR INT, -SR INT), both for auxiliary and
self-powered sirens
z
2 terminals for battery recharge voltage output (+14.4V, -) for the self-powered siren
z
5 terminals for the logic outputs (OFF-, OUT1+, OUT2-, TEC, PGM)
ZONE INPUTS
There are 16 terminals for the zone inputs (Z1...Z16), 8 common terminals (COM) supplying 13.8V and 8 pairs of
terminals (+, -) for the detector power supply (+, -).
The detector power supply is protected by a rapid 2A fuse (F1) (positioned on the terminal board).
The zone inputs can work as normally closed (NC), normally open (NA), end-of-line resistor (BIL) or double end-of-
line resistor (B24) zones depending on programming (see page 2-8).
TAMPER INPUT
The tamper input (ZT) is positioned on the right hand side of the terminal board.
The connector for the combined tamper switch against opening and wrenching of the control panel casing, however,
is positioned in the upper right hand angle of the CPU board.
SIREN OUTPUTS
There are a series of terminals for the connection of the indoor and outdoor sirens.
The te14.4V provides the battery recharge voltage for the self-powered sirens. The terminal OFF- provides
the stand-by status of the control panel.
SELF-POWERED OUTDOOR SIRENS BY TECNOALARM
+14.4V Positive voltage for recharge of the battery
- Negative voltage for recharge of the battery
+SRA Control panel in stand-by: +13.8V (positive voltage)
Alarm: high impedance (positive voltage missing)
-SRA Negative voltage for siren power supply (in case of wiring with 4 wires) or recharge of the battery (earth)
OFF- Control panel in stand-by: 0V (negative voltage)
Control panel armed: high impedance (negative voltage missing)
AUXILIARY OUTDOOR SIRENS BY TECNOALARM
+SR INT Control panel in stand-by: high impedance (positive voltage missing)
Alarm: +13.8V (positive voltage)
-SR INT Negative voltage for siren power supply (earth)
INDOOR SIRENS BY TECNOALARM
+SR INT +13.8V (positive voltage)
-SR INT Control panel in stand-by: high impedance (negative voltage missing)
Alarm: GND (earth) (negative voltage)
The siren outputs assume the following values:
Normal functioning logic
Reverse functioning logic
+SRA Control panel in stand-by: +13.8V +SRA Control panel in stand-by: high impedance
Alarm: high impedance Alarm: +13.8V
-SR INT Control panel in stand-by: high impedance -SR INT Control panel in stand-by: GND (earth)
Alarm: GND (earth) Alarm: high impedance
WARNING
The auxiliary outdoor siren connected to the terSR INT and -SR INT will sound for the time
programmed for the indoor sirens.
Pay attention to the cable thickness, especially if long distances are to be crossed.
For the installation in environments with strong electrical noise (motors, workshops, presses etc.) it is
recommended to use shielded cable with ground connection.
