time constant, proceed as described in section Character input (Page 64).

Risk of incorrect calibration/validation measurement
With automatic calibration/validation, the waiting time following the switching over of gases
(in particular when changing from sample gas to calibration gas) must be at least 200% of
the set time constant.
Therefore check each time you change the T

calibration/validation have been adapted accordingly (see also Manual "SOPAS ET" /7/)
Dynamic damping
Dynamic damping can be used to compensate variations in measured values without greatly
increasing the response time. In contrast to constant damping, dynamic damping is
automatically deactivated when the measured value changes rapidly.
Small variations in the measured value can be smoothened in this manner, and fast changes
in measured value are nevertheless displayed correctly.
The response is defined using the parameter "Threshold (in units of measured component)"
as follows:
●
If the difference between successive measured values is smaller than the set threshold,
the measured values are dampened with the set time constant, i.e. the dynamic damping
is active.
●
If the difference between successive measured values is greater than the set threshold,
the dynamic damping is deactivated. It remains deactivated for as long as the measured
values change rapidly.
●
If the measured values only change slowly, the dynamic damping responds like constant
damping.
The dynamic damping acts on all measured-value displays and outputs.
