Adjusting the damping
Constant damping (T
90
time)
The current measured value is not displayed if the constant damping is activated. In this
case a mean value of the current and previous measuring values is displayed (sliding
average).
This parameter is used to attenuate fluctuations in measurements (noise) and also to smooth
varying values if e.g. only the average measured value is relevant.
Note
The damping is effective on the measured-value display and output, and is also active during
a calibration/validation.
If the constant damping is increased, the response time of the analyzer (T
90
time) is
accordingly longer. If the constant damping is reduced, the noise can become larger. A time
constant with the value 0 means there is no damping.
