Determining the velocity limit (commissioning step 5)
You can perform this step in order to check whether the measured actual velocity rV_act_HO
(hoist) or rV_act_TR (trolley) is correct.
In manual mode (MAN), the drives must be moved individually and steadily at constant velocity.
If the drive moves at constant velocity, this should be confirmed by pressing <ENTER> twice.
The maximum actual velocity, i.e. the velocity limit, produced at the maximum output velocity
is determined from the output velocity output to the converter and the measured actual velocity
value.
The calculated velocity must be exactly as high (within the given limits of accuracy) as the
values in parameter P0 (maximum output velocity, trolley) and P40 (maximum output velocity,
hoist).
If it is not, you must check the velocity sensing system.
Communication addresses (commissioning step 6)
Each device must have its own IP address for communication in the Ethernet network.
Note
The IP address for a device may only be used once within a network.
For the communication between the components, the IP address of the camera measuring
system must be made known to the SIMOTION. The camera measuring system is delivered
with a predefined IP address.
In commissioning step 6 "Communication addresses", depending on the deployed hardware
and whether a camera measuring system is in use, it is possible to choose between:
● UDP (IP address and port of the camera measuring system)
● PROFINET (camera measuring system supports this protocol)
The following table shows the possible hardware/camera combinations and the associated
selections.
SIMOTION D
With camera
Without camera
1 – UDP
2 – PROFINET
No commissioning step 6 "Communication addresses" available
You will find more information in Chapter Communication of the camera measuring system via
Ethernet (Page 319).
It is possible to change the addresses again later. Simply call the Parameters menu with the "P"
key and select the "I" function (communication addresses).
Note
If you select communication via PROFINET, you will require a CBE30-2 module.
