ELECTRONIC EXPANSION VALVE (EXV)
EXV is equipped with a stepper motor and with a sight glass to
check mechanism movement and sealant presence.
HUMIDITY INDICATOR
Placed on the EXV, it allows monitoring unit charge level and
indicates the humidity in the circuit. Presence of bubbles in the
sight glass indicates that charge level is too low or presence of
non-condensible substances inside the system. If humidity is
present, the colour of the sight glass paper will change.
DRYING FILTER
This unique brazed piece is placed on the fluid line. The func-
tion of the drying filter is to keep circuit clean and humidi-
ty-free. The humidity indicator shows when the drying filter
must be replaced. A difference of temperature between box
inlet and outlet indicates component fouling.
In case or reversible machines, the dehydration filter is "bi-
flow", i.e. it filters and dehydrates in both operating modes. Its
pressure drop is consistently higher in heating mode.
WATER EXCHANGER
The water exchanger is of the "brazed plate" type, with 1 or 2
cooling circuits.
Hydraulic connections of the heat exchanger are of the Victaulic
type.
The water heat exchanger is protected by a thermal insulation
19 mm thick. It is equipped as standard with an electric heater
that provides anti-freeze protection.
Chiller/pipe thermal insulation must be chemically neutral with
respect to the surfaces it is applied on. All original materials
provided by the manufacturer comply with this requirement.

In the absence of specific provisions, follow the indications
of standard EN 378.

Regularly check the presence of impurities (such as sand,
grit, etc.) in the heat transfer fluids. These impurities can
cause wear and/or pitting corrosion.
RECOVERY TANK
Range reversible units are equipped with mechanically welded
tanks that can stock any excess load when the unit operates in
heating mode.
CONNECT TOUCH CONTROL
The Connect Touch Control interface has the following features:
− it is a colour 4 inch 1/3 interface
− intuitive and easy to use. Clear and brief information is
provided in the local language (8 available)
− the whole menu can be adapted to the different users
(end customer, maintenance personnel, manufacturer)
− the use and configuration of the unit are restricted.
Password restriction prevents non-authorised access to
the advanced settings;
− no password is required to access the most important
operation parameters.
