Heating / Cooling / Standby

The

Connect Touch

control system determines the unit heat/

cool status.

Chillers can work in cooling mode only.

The heat pumps can work in cooling or heating mode.

In case of heat pumps, the user can enable the automatic heat/

cool switching option; the option can be manually set by the

user (the automatic switching is disabled by default).

The automatic switching logic is the following:

− when the outdoor air temperature exceeds the cooling

threshold [cauto_sp] the cooling mode is activated;

− when the outdoor air temperature is lower than the

heating threshold [cauto_sp] the heating mode is ac-

tivated;

− when the outdoor air temperature is within the switch-

ing threshold range indicated above the unit does not

activate the cooling nor the heating mode: in fact, it is

in Standby mode, i.e. the compressors are stopped and

the water pump can be running. However, it is possi-

ble that the pump is stopped in Standby mode if the

parameter [pump_sby] in the Pump Configuration menu

(PUMPCONF) is set to "yes".

Control of the operating modes

The operating mode, i.e. cooling or heating, is set according to

the following parameters:

: Local, Remote or Network

when the unit is in Local mode

: Heat/Cool selec-

tion when the unit is in Remote mode
