Capacity limitation
The
Connect Touch
control system allows constantly monitoring
the capacity of the unit by setting its maximum capacity.
Capacity limitation is expressed in percentage; a limit value of
100% indicates that the unit can work using its full capacity (no
limitations are implemented).
The unit capacity can be limited:
− through dry contacts controlled by the user. The unit ca-
pacity can never exceed the limit setpoint activated by
these contacts;
− through the lag limit [LAG_LIM] set from the master unit
in the master/slave unit. If the unit does not belong to
the Master/Slave unit, the lag limit value is 100%;
− through night mode limitation control. The demand
limit value in night mode can be selected if the value is
lower than the selected capacity limit.
To set the limit setpoint [lim_sp1 / 2 / 3]:
− Move to the Main Menu.
− Select Setpoint
.
− Set the Switch Limit Setpoint 1 / 2 / 3.

To check the lag limit set by the master unit [LAG_LIM]:
− Move to the Main Menu.
− Select
General Parameters
.
− Check Lag Capacity Limit Value.

To set the night mode limit [nh_limit]:
− Scroll the Configuration Menu.
− Select

− Set the Night Capacity Limit.

Based on the limitation source, the active demand limit value
[DEM_LIM] is set to the lowest value possible. DEM_LIM can be
forced through the Network.
To check the active demand limit value [DEM_LIM]:
− Move to the Main Menu.
− Select
General Parameters
.
− Check Active Demand Limit Value.

Capacity control
The control keeps the water exchanger temperature to the rel-
evant setpoint. The compressors are activated and deactivated
following a sequence designed to even the number of activa-
tions (value weighted according to their operation time).
CIRCUIT CHARGING SEQUENCE
This function determines the order according to which the cir-
cuit capacity is modified. Compressor charging is managed by
starting/stopping the compressors. There are two types of se-
quencing available:
− balanced charging sequence
− staggered charging sequence.
Balanced charging sequence:
The control keeps the same ca-
pacity for all circuits, like machine charging and discharging.
The balanced charging sequence is the default sequence used
by the control.
Staggered charging sequence:
The control fully charges the ad-
vance circuit before lag circuit start-up. When the charge de-
creases, the lag circuit is the first one to be discharged. The
staggered discharging sequence is active when one of the cir-
cuits is turned off because faulty, the circuit is in bypass mode,
or the remaining circuits are off or fully charged.
To set the circuit charging sequence [seq_typ]:
− Scroll the Configuration Menu.
− Select
General Configuration
.
− Set Staggered Charging Sequence.

CAPACITY FOR MULTIPLE CIRCUIT UNITS
For units with more than one circuit, the advance/delay func-
tion determines which circuit is the advance circuit and which
one is the delay circuit. This function controls the start/stop
sequence of two cooling circuits called circuit A and circuit B.
The circuit to be activated first is the advance circuit. The ad-
vance circuit is the first one to be used for capacity increments
and at the same time it is the first to be reduced when capacity
decreases. The advance/delay circuits can be manually or au-
tomatically selected.
To set the leading circuit [lead_circuit]:

Scroll the Configuration Menu.
