For correct balance cooperation with the THB module it is necessary to set port’s transmission
parameters, they must be compatible with those of the THB module. The THB module transmission
parameters are detailed on its data plate.
On returning to the weighing mode, the display indicates an additional symbol <
!
>, as indicated on
the figure below. From now on the value of indicated mass is corrected including the air buoyancy
compensation factor and sample density.
The measurement result can only be compensated by a correct value if the operator enters the actual
value of the air density and correct value of weighed sample density to balance’s memory.
CAUTION!
If the <AIR BUOYANCY COMPENSATION> parameter is set to <ONLINE> parameter, then pictogram <!> is
not displayed. This means that parameter Setup/Ambient Conditions/Ambient Conditions Module is set to
SAVE or SAVE & ALERTS value, and that there is no physical connection between a balance and a THB
module, or that balance-module communication parameters are incorrect. In such case plug a THB module to
balance’s ports COM 1 or COM 2 and set appropriate communication parameters, for the parameters refer to
a data plate.
15.7. ADDITIONAL PARAMETERS FOR A WEIGHING PROCESS
Modification of weighing functions enables programming balance operation.
Procedure:
1. Press grey workspace.
2. Settings, Keys, Information, Printouts, Profile submenus are displayed.
3. Select submenu, press it, select submenu item that is to be modified.
<Settings> - additional options related to weighing mode
<Keys> - defining quick access keys
<Information> - supplementary data on weighing process displayed in Info field
<Printouts> - selecting printout type
<Profile> - selecting profile that is to be active during balance operation
<SETTINGS> - weighing process related data such as:
Tare mode
•
SINGLE
mass value stored in balance memory on single pressing of TARE key, the
following pressing of TARE key determines new value of tare. Selection of product
or packaging with assigned tare value causes automatic deleting of previously
assigned tare value;

SUM OF ACTIVE
sum of product tare value and packaging tare value (this operation is
a consequence of selecting a product and a packaging from database) plus tare
value entered using balance’s numeric keyboard if needed. When new tare value
for a product or packaging is entered then tare value entered manually gets
deactivated.
•
SUM OF ALL
Sum of all entered tare values.
•
AUTOTARE
Means of operation:
Each first stable measurement result is tared. The NET pictogram is displayed. Now
you can determine net mass of weighed load. On unloading the weighing pan, and
