15.2. GOOD WEIGHING PRACTICE
In order to ensure long lasting use of a balance plus correct and reliable measurement of weighed
loads, follow below procedures:
•
Start the balance with no load on the weighing pan (permissible value of load on the weighing
pan on balance start is ±10% of its maximum capacity).

Load the weighing pan steadily avoiding shocks:

Place weighed loads centrally on the weighing pan:

Avoid side loading, in particular side shocks:

15.3. BALANCE LEVELLING
The 4Y series features AutoLEVEL System, which continuously monitors level status during balance
operation. The level status is signaled in the top right hand corner of a display. The system
continuously controls level, and on detecting any change it indicates appropriate information on the
display and/or starts an alarm, as a result a window for adjusting the level is displayed.
Balance levelling procedure
1. Press level status pictogram < > located in the top right hand corner of the display.
2. Control panel of leveling function is displayed, it features level status and balance’s top
elevation.
