7 TROUBLE SHOOTING
7.1 ERRORS
The PT610, PT620 and PT630 indicators have been designed as very reliable and virtually error free
instruments. However if an error occurs, do not attempt to repair the equipment before you understand
what caused the error. Note the problem you are having and the status of the front panel, and try to find
the problem with the help of the table given below. Don’t let unauthorised people interfere with the
instrument.
on the display
The input exceeds the operating range of the ADC (internal electronics).
-Call service to check the load cells, wiring and connections and calibration.
on the display
The load cell signal is higher than the calibrated maximum level but not outside the
ADC range.
-Call service to check the load cells, wiring and connections and calibration.
LC Err
The load cell signal exceeds the operating range range. -Call service to check the
load cells, wiring and connections and calibration.
+POWERONZERO
ERR
The input signal is outside the zero range of the instrument at power on.
-Check the wiring and the load cells for over loading or residual material on the
scale.
-Press
<ESC>
to start weight indication without zeroing and call service.
-POWERONZERO
ERR
The input signal is outside the zero range of the instrument at power on.
-Check the wiring and the load cells for over loading or residual material on the
scale.
-Press
<ESC>
to start weight indication without zeroing and call service.
LOW VOLT PWR OFF
Power source voltage is less than 85 VAC for the AC variant or 9 VDC for the DC
variant.
- Check the power supply voltage.
HIGH VOLT PWR OFF
Voltage is more than 30 VDC for DC variant.
- Check the power supply voltage.
E01 ADC ERROR
ADC initialisation error. Power off for 30 seconds and on again. If that fails
- Change main PCB or second scale board.
E02 ADC ERROR
ADC conversion error. Power off for 30 seconds and on again. If that fails
- Change main PCB or second scale board.
E03 ADC ERROR
ADC data is out of range. Power off for 30 seconds and on again. If that fails
- Change main PCB or second scale board.
E10 NVM VERSION
EEPROM error. Reconfigure the instrument. If that fails
- Change PCB.
E20 CALIBRATION
Calibration coefficient checksum error, check performance, recalibrate
E21 SETUP ERROR
Configuration parameter checksum error, check performance, reconfigure the
parameters, recalibrate, change the main PCB.
E22 CHECKSUM ERR
Data checksum error. Contact service.
E23 HEADER ERR
Header checksum error. Re-enter the headers, contact service.
E24 FOOTNOTE ERR
Footnote checksum error. - Press enter key and re-enter the
footers. -Contact Service
E25 FBUS SETUP E
Fieldbus set up error. - Press enter key and re-enter the fieldbus setup. -Contact
Service
E26 SETPOINT ERR
Set point error. Reload set points, contact service.
E28 CLOCK ERROR
Clock error. - Change CR2032 battery. - Change the main board.
E29 ID NAME ERROR
ID header checksum error. - Change main board.
E32 LABEL ERROR
Checksum error of the EPL label printout format. - Press enter key and re-load the
EPL code.
E34 NOT LOADED
The signal from the load cells is not increasing after loading the scale. It may be
negative, very low or very high.
-Check the load cell connection, it may be damaged or reversed. -Check the
excitation and sense for correct voltage.
-Check the load cell cable connection to the PCB in the instrument.
-Check the installation mechanically to ensure correct loading of the load cells.
-Change PCB.
E35 LC CONNECTIO
The load increase is smaller than expected or decreases.
- Check the installation mechanically to ensure correct loading of the load cells and
no object interferes with the application of load.
- Check the load cell connection. Make sure the polarity is not reversed.
- Increase the size of the calibration test weight.
- Change the PCB, return to PT.
E36 ADD LOAD
Calibration load value entry Error.
