5.4.2.1 PT610
The PT610 instruments do not have numerical keypads for setting passwords so a simple lock key is
used to prevent accidental access.
Lock the keys
1. Press the
<ENTER>
key for more than 2 seconds. The
[LOCK PASSWORD: ]
prompt
appears on the display.
2. Press the
<LOCK>
key.
3. Press the
<ENTER>
key. The symbol is appears on the display.
Unlock the keys
1. Press the
<LOCK>
key for more than 2 seconds. The
[LOCK PASSWORD: ]
prompt
appears on the display.
2. Press the
<LOCK>
key.
3. Press the
<ENTER>
key. The symbol disappears from the display.
5.4.2.2 PT620, PT630
These instruments have numerical keypads for advanced flexibility in setting passwords. The key lock
password default is 11.
Lock the keys
1. Press the
<LOCK>
key for more than 2 seconds. The
[LOCK PASSWORD: ]
prompt
appears on the display.
2. Enter the key lock password. Refer to parameter
[261]
.
3. Press the
<ENTER>
key. The symbol is appears on the display.
Unlock the keys
1. Press the
<LOCK>
key for more than 2 seconds. The
[LOCK PASSWORD: ]
prompt
appears on the display.
2. Enter the key lock password.
3. Press the
<ENTER>
key. The symbol disappears from the display.
5.4.3 Passwords
Passwords can be set to limit access to functions of the instrument.
5.4.3.1 PT610
The PT610 instruments do not have numerical keypads for setting passwords so a combination of keys
pressed sequentially is used.
User password
This password is used to prevent accidental access to setup of the interface, usage configuration and
application related parameters for your application.
To enter the programming;

Service password
This password is used to secure the instrument parameters and allow calibration only by trained
technical persons. Refer to 6.1
