5.3.8 Identification Memory
Applies to PT620 and PT630.
APPLICATION: To enter identification data into the instrument to printout or to transfer other data
together with identification data.
RELATED PARAMETERS: Sub-block [37-] (6.4.7).
The PT620 and PT630 indicators have 2 identification keys ID1 and ID2 available (define function key
for PT620) for storing identification data. Each identification key has an alphanumeric identification
name and data. The identification data can be saved into the ID1 and ID2 memories, each has 500
locations with a 32 character identification data record size.
The identification data can be entered via keys or selected from ID memory to transfer together with the
weight value. The length of identification name can be a maximum 16 characters and the length of
identification data can be up to 32 characters. ID name is entered in the programming mode.
ID data in the memory can be linked to the PT, SET and/or APW memory records. This feature
provides an advantage when selecting the related records automatically by selecting the ID from
memory. For example, if APW memory is linked to ID1 memory, the 123
th
record in the APW memory is
loaded automatically after loading the 123rd record from ID1 memory.
The descriptions below are given for the ID1 key. The usage of ID2 is the same.
Identification data - entering via alphanumeric keys
1. Press the identification key
<ID1>
.
2. Enter the identification data up to 32 digits via alphanumeric keys.
3. Confirm with the
<ENTER>
key.
Identification data - record into the ID memory

<ESC>
key to return without any selection.
Data Entry into the memories linked together with ID memory
You may enter data into the related memories together with data entry to the items from ID memories
for easy use as below;
For example, if ID1 is linked with SET and PT memories by parameter
[373]
, the data entry can be
done to the item as described below.
1. Press the
<MEM>
key for more than 2 seconds in weighing operation. The
