5.3.10 Set-points
Applies to PT610, PT620 and PT630.
Note:
REQUIRES OPTION WITH DIGITAL INPUTS/OUTPUTS.
APPLICATION: Digital inputs and outputs are used to control external equipment, digital inputs control
the instrument and digital outputs can be used to control gates, valves etc. or to activate an alarm.
RELATED PARAMETERS: Sub-blocks
[35-]
and
[36-]
.
The weighing indicator has 4 digital inputs and 5 digital outputs if equipped with any option board. You
may enter set-point values for the item after pressing the
<SETPT>
key or you may call them from
Memory. Set-point Memory has records for 500 items and each item has 5 set-point values.
Refer below for technical details on Digital Inputs / Outputs including their connection.
Digital inputs and outputs are set to their functions in sub-blocks
[35-]
and
[36-]
. Digital inputs can be
programmed for zeroing, taring, print etc. in sub-block
[35-]
. Digital outputs can be programmed for the
different functions as described below in sub-block
[36-]
.
The input and outputs are configurable as indicated in the table below.

The outputs (configured as a set-point) can be programmable as free set-points of absolute indicated
weight (SPAI), free set-point of indicated weight (SPI), free set-point of gross weight (SPG) or control
output (SPC).
SPAI Free setpoint of absolute indicated
weight
The digital output is activated by comparing the set point
value and absolute indicated weight value as indicated in
the drawing below.
