4.10.3 USB CONNECTION
The onboard Mini-B USB 2.0 port can be used for communication (continuous, fast
continuous, BSI) and setup. For a permanent connection (without the need to open
the case) an optional USB cable and gland can be purchased.
4.10.4 ETHERNET CONNECTION
The PT630 has an Ethernet port on the main board as standard. A serial connection can be made to
this port after configuration.
Usage: Interfacing with Printer, PC, PLC, Bar code reader, remote display etc.
Data Format: Continuous, Fast Continuous, Printer, BSI Protocol, Barcode&ID device or Modbus TCP
Connect to a switch or hub with a standard Ethernet cable.
Connect directly to a PC or laptop with a cross-over Ethernet cable. If the PC/laptop has an auto-MDI-X
port, a standard cable can be used.
Note:
To minimise the effects of electrical interference, screened Ethernet cables can be used.
4.11 CLEANING THE INSTRUMENT
Warning:
Disconnect the instrument from all power sources before starting cleaning for your safety.
Cover any open glands.
The PT610, PT620, PT630 instruments are designed for use in wet, hygienic and harsh environments.
To keep the instrument in good condition, never use harsh abrasive cleaners or solvents. Wipe the
instrument with a soft cloth slightly dampened with warm soapy water or with mild detergent. You may
wash the instrument with a hose, max. 10 litre/min and 20 kPa.
4.12 DISPOSAL
In conformance with the European Directive 2002/96 EC Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
(WEEE), this device may not be disposed of with domestic waste. This rule also applies to non-EU
countries, according to their specific regulations. Please dispose of this product in accordance with
local regulations at the collection point specified for electrical and electronic waste. For any questions,
