The display value shows the weight of the contents and the
NET
(net weight) symbol appears.
Note:
The scale must be stable, the
[~
]
symbol is not showing, for tare functions.
5.2.3 Gross/Net Function
You can use the Gross/Net function at any time to temporarily switch the display between the net and
gross weight with the
<G/N>
key. After the
<G/N>
key is pressed, the display shows the gross weight
for a few seconds and then automatically goes back to the net weight indication.
5.2.4 Printing
You can connect your indicator to a printer as indicated in Illustration 1:2 wire Connection with a printer
and then set serial data output related parameters** and printer parameters** (
[16-]
6.2.6 to select the
printout ticket format. Press the
<PRINT>
key to print the weight after loading when the indication is
stable. The printouts can contain different data depending on the operating mode as configured in 6.2.6.
Similarly you can print to a PC with a connection as shown in Illustration 1: 2 wire Connection with a
printer p15.
The format of the data output in Print mode can be selected from 5 different options in the sub-block
[16-]
. Print mode data is sent by pressing the
<ENTER>
key or by receiving an ASCII P command via
serial port, or via Ethernet port for PT610 and PT630 when present by setting the remote IP and remote
port number, refer to parameter
[19E]
and
[19F]
.
Note:
Only one of the serial ports installed can be programmed for printing. The USB port is not
available for printing.
5.2.4.1 Single line
You can transmit the printout data in single line format by pressing the
<ENTER>
key or receiving the
command. This format is recommended to send print data to a PC or to any host. The data output
structure will depend upon the data selected for printing in
[16-]
;
The typical structure of the output print data is show below to facilitate any processing by a PC or host
into structured data. The data is sent as ASCII characters.

You can send the data in multiple line formats as configured in parameters

key or receiving the command. The multiline data output can be
programmed for narrow and wide printers.
