Supported Network Topologies
The NJ/NX-series CPU Units support line/daisy chain, branching, and ring topologies. You can com-
bine more than one topology.
Each of these topologies is described below.

Line/Daisy Chain Topology
This topology connects the output ports and input ports of slaves one after another in a row.

Features of Line/Daisy Chain Topology
The master and slaves can be connected easily. However, if a slave is disconnected due to a broken
cable or other reason, all slaves after the disconnected slave are also disconnected from the network.

Branching Topology
This topology uses Junction Slaves to configure more than one line/daisy chain.
