<Movie mode>
Shooting Movies
Use the built-in camera to shoot a movie with voice.

On the standby screen
[Left] J (Camera)
J "Movie mode"
The Movie mode screen appears.
The incoming call lamp lights in blue
while the movie mode screen
appears.

Point the camera at the object J or [ ]
The incoming call lamp lights in red, and the shooting starts.
If the file size reaches the limit specified in the File size
setting, the shooting automatically terminates.

The shooting terminates and the Movie checking screen
appears.
■ To play the movie you shot
[Left] → "Play"
■ To retake the shot
[Right] → "YES"
■ To compose an i-mode mail with the movie attached

The file name of the movie is displayed, and you can edit the
title.

The movie is saved in the Camera folder under "i-motion".
Function menu (Movie mode screen)
● While the Movie mode screen is displayed, press [Left] to
display the function menu.
Item Description
Front camera
/Rear camera Switches between the front camera and the rear
camera.

Photo mode Changes to the Photo mode.
Select size Select the image size for shooting a movie from
Large (176×144) or Small (128×96).
File size
setting Sets the file size for the movie shooting.
Restricted
(Mail) Shoots up to 95K bytes as the file
size.
Local
playback Shoots up to 500K bytes as the file
size.
Storage
setting Sets the image quality and duration for the movie
shooting.
Normal Shoots a movie in the typical image
quality and duration.
Fine mode Shoots a movie with image quality
higher. The available shooting time
is shorter than for Normal.
Long dur.
mode Shoots a long movie. The image
quality is not as high as for Normal.
・ The shooting time varies by the
conditions such as the object's
movement or the brightness.
White
balance Adjusts the colors according to the light.
Auto Automatically corrects the color.
Fine Is the mode suitable for shooting
outside on a sunny day.
Cloudy Is the mode suitable for shooting
outside on a cloudy day or in the
shade.
Light bulb Is the mode suitable for shooting
under the incandescent lamp.
