● When you move from the first destination to another
When you move out of the service area of the network operator
you were connecting to, the FOMA terminal automatically
searches for an available network again, then connects to
another network operator.
● When you return to Japan
When you set "Network switch" to "Automatic" or "3G", the
FOMA terminal connects to the FOMA network. You can use
the FOMA terminal as usual (It is recommended to set to "3G").
・ If you changed the setting to "Automatic" while overseas, turn
the FOMA terminal off and then turn it back on.
Country codes of major destinations
Use the following numbers for "Country code" when making an
international call or setting "Prefix numbers".

Checkpoints before Overseas Use
Before using the FOMA terminal overseas, please check the items
to be prepared before leaving Japan, basic notes on use at the
destination and setting after returning to Japan.
Preparation before leaving
To use this FOMA terminal overseas, you need to perform the
following preparation before leaving.
FOMA card (UIM)
To use overseas, the FOMA card (green) needs to be inserted to
this FOMA terminal.
Charging
Check the voltage available at the destination and use the FOMA
AC Adapter for Global Use 01.
● "FOMA AC Adapter for Global Use 01" allows AC 100V to 240V,
however the plug form is for AC100V (spec for Japan). To use
this adapter overseas, you need a conversion plug adapter
suitable for the destination. You can purchase a conversion plug
adapter at large-scale electrical appliance stores and shops
that sell overseas travel equipment.
● Do not use a travel transformer to charge the FOMA terminal.
NOTE
z Depending on the reception condition and overseas network,
the network switching may face difficulties.
z Please note that some key operation or function of this
FOMA terminal may be unavailable while switching to another
network operator.
