● If a videophone call is not connected
If a videophone call was not connected, a message of the
connection failure reason appears. However, in some
circumstances, the message may not be displayed. Also,
depending on the type of phone used by the called party and
the possible lack of a network service subscription, the reason
given may not accurately reflect the other party's actual status.
Function menu(videophone number entry screen)
● While the phone number entry screen is displayed,
press [Left] to display the function menu.
Receiving a Videophone Call

A videophone call comes in
The FOMA terminal rings, and the incoming call lamp flashes.
■ To turn off a ring tone
Press [Left]
■ To reject an incoming call
Press [Right]

Press or
Pressing sends the camera image
to the other party, and pressing
sends the substitutive image to the
other party.
The
videophone in-call screen
appears, and you can talk.
■ To switch to hands-free operation
during a call
Press
･ Each time you press during a call, the call switches
between hands-free ON/OFF.
■ To enlarge/reduce the image currently being sent

Message Reason
Check number then redial You dialed a wrong number.
Busy The called party is on another call.
Out of service area/power
off The called party is out of service
area or his/her phone is turned off.
Public mode (Driving mode)
Call again after a while The called party is in Public mode.
Set caller ID to ON Displayed when you connected
without notifying your caller ID.
Redial using voice call The called party sets the Voice Mail
service or a call forward destination
does not support videophone call.
Connection failed This message is displayed in other
situations than the above.

ID Select whether or not to notify the other party of
your caller ID.
OFF Does not notify the other party of
your caller ID.
ON Notifies the other party of your
caller ID.
Cancel Prefix Notifies your caller ID according
to the setting in "Notify caller ID"
(p.28).
Prefix
numbers Select the specific numbers as phone number
prefixes. You can store the specific numbers in

Add to
phonebook Adds the dialed phone number to the phonebook.

Compose
SMS Composes an SMS from the dialed phone number
