Dialing up to connect
This section describes how to make a
dial-up connection for packet communi
-
cation by using the dial-up setting.

During packet communication, an icon may be
displayed on the FOMA terminal screen
depending the communication status.

1 Connect the FOMA USB Cable
to the FOMA terminal

Select "スタート " (Start) → "プロ
グラム" (Programs) → "アクセサリ"
(Accessories) → "通信" (Commu

nication) → " ダイヤルアップネット
ワーク " (Dial-up network)

Select the icon of the access
point to connect, and then
select " 接続 " (Connect)

Confirm each item and click
"接続" (Connect)
The phone number of the access point
specified for dial-up network is displayed in
"電話番号" (Phone number).
You can connect either to mopera U or
mopera with user name and password col
-
umns blank.
To use a provider other than mopera U or
mopera, enter the user name and password
specified by the provider or network
administrator in the "ユーザー名" (User Name)
and "パスワード" (Password) columns.
＜The Connecting screen appears＞
The user name and password are
confirmed to be ready to log on.
＜ Connection completed ＞
You can use e-mail or run the browser
software to browse Websites.
If this screen does not appear, check
the settings of the access point again.

3 Open the access point
Select the dial-up access point icon with the
ISP name specified in Step 7 on p.26 to select
"ネットワークタスク" (Network task) → "この接続を
開始する" (Start this connection), or double-click
the icon of the access point.
（Communicating, no data transfer）
（Communicating, starts sending data）
（Communicating, sending /receiving data）
