International Roaming Service
International roaming service (WORLD WING) is a service provided
by DoCoMo to FOMA users, in which you can make calls and use
i-mode overseas via other network providers.
With FOMA N600i, you can use this international roaming service
by the usual phone number you use in Japan. Even overseas, voice
call, videophone call, i-mode and SMS are available. Also, you can
use convenient network services such as Voice Mail service and
Call Forwarding service.
● You do not need to subscribe to the WORLD WING to use the
international roaming service.
● To use the international roaming service, FOMA card (green) must
be inserted to the FOMA N600i.
● You need subscription to use the network services overseas.
● There are the following three types of overseas network:
※1: 3GPP（3rd Generation Partnership Project）
A regional standardization collaboration established to develop
common technical specification for the 3rd generation mobile
communication system (IMT-2000).
※2: GPRS (General Packet Radio Service）
A packet communication service with the maximum
communication speed at 115kbps spread in mainly in Europe and
China.
※3: GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications)
A standard established in Europe for the 2nd generation mobile
communication system, this is the most widely spread digital
standard around the world.
● The available network services and functions differ depending on
the network operator you connect to.
● For details on the network services available while roaming

Switching network
By the setting at the time of purchase, your FOMA terminal is to
be connected to the FOMA network in Japan, and to the 3G
network when you go abroad.
● When you move from Japan to the destination
When you set "Network switch" to "Automatic" or "GSM", the
FOMA terminal automatically searches and connects to an
available network operator.
・ If you changed the setting to "Automatic" while in Japan, turn
the FOMA terminal off and then turn it back on.

Voice call ・ You can make a voice call using the usual
phone number even overseas.

network operator users overseas or FOMA users
in Japan.
i-mode mail ・ You can send and receive i-mode mail by
the usual address. You can also send and
receive i-mode mail with images and
melodies attached.
i-mode ・ i-mode service is also available overseas.
