To select current stations other than the one nearest your ves-
sel, see below.

Choosing cursor-location current stations

You can choose any current station on the

CHART

screen by

moving the cursor to that station.

1. At the

CHART

screen, press the

OVERLAY

key, then press

the

SHOW CURRENTS

key.

2. As you’re displaying the

CHART

screen showing the area

current stations and

STATION COVERAGE

bar, press the

CURSOR PAD

to move the cursor to select the desired

current station (you may have to press the

OUT

key to see

the location of other current stations).

3. To view the graph, press the

GRAPH ON

key.

Removing current

stations and the

currents overlay

To turn a current graph off, press the

GRAPH OFF

key.

To remove all current stations from the

CHART

screen, press

the

OVERLAY

key, then press the

HIDE CURRENTS

key.

To return to vessel functions, press the

VESSEL

key.

Changing current

graph units

You can change the units for the currents at the 961’s

DIS-

PLAY SETUP

screen. You can display current speed to be in

kilometers or miles per hour, or in knots. For details on chang-
ing these units, see ”Distance and speed units” starting on page
13-4.
