it helps you plan the future parts of today’s trip by adding
a waypoint, a series of waypoints—or even routes—to the
end of the trip
•
it lets you change how you follow a route, in any way,
without affecting the original route, which remains safely
stored in the 961’s database
Displaying the trip
Press the
TRIP
key at any time to display the
TRIP
screen,
which sequentially lists all your past, active, and future way-
points.
Trip screen
The
TRIP
screen shows a list of these waypoints with name,
position coordinates, day, date, time of arrival, and distance
and bearing between trip points (for past waypoints) and day,
date, and estimated time of arrival (for active and future way-
points). By pressing the
DATE-DIST/BRG-TIME
key, you can
cycle from displaying day and time of arrival, to day and date
of arrival, to distance and bearing between trip points in the
ARRIVAL
column.
