Service Manual – SW5500, FLOORTEC R 985

51 - Dust Guard System

Functional Description

The dust guard system sprays a thin film of water in front of each side broom, thus minimizing the dust 

raised by the broom itself 

The water used by the dust guard system is contained in a tank located inside the rear filter housing.

The system is composed of a pump motor (P1) which is powered by the Main Machine Controller (EB1) 

The system is activated by pressing the DustGuard™ system button 

 (on the side Main Control 

Board), and the corresponding icon on the display indicates its operating status 

The pump is powered only when the function is active and at least one of the side brooms is moving
