4-64 Configuring Your Server

Clearing CMOS Data

See the section "Preparing for Installation and Removal" in Chapter 9 to prepare

Remove the left side cover (see Chapter 9).

Change jumper switch setting from "Protect" to "Clear".
See the figure on the previous page.

After five seconds later, reinstall the jumper.

Reassemble the server.

Connect the power cord and press the POWER/SLEEP switch to turn on the server.

Press

during POST to run the BIOS Setup utility, and execute [Load Setup Defaults]

on the [Save & Exit] menu.

Clearing Password

See the section "Preparing for Installation and Removal" in Chapter 9 to prepare

Remove the left side cover (see Chapter 9).

Change jumper switch setting from "Protect" to "Clear".

Reassemble the server, and press the POWER/SLEEP switch to turn on the server.
