CAUTION
Unpacking operations must be carried out by operating personnel qualified to perform the
relative tasks.
During operations the operating personnel must wear all the necessary Personal Protective
Equipment (PPE). See heading 2, "Safety".
Take care not to damage the machine during these operations.
4.3.1 Preliminary checks
The machine is carefully inspected before being handed over to the forwarding agent. Upon
arrival, make sure that:
The machine has not been damaged during transport.
The packaging must not be tampered with or any contents removed.
the supply matches the order specifications.
NOTE
Once packaging has been removed from the machine, separate the packaging materials by
type and dispose of them in accordance with the relative legislation in force in the country of
use.
IMPORTANT
Should you notice any damage or missing parts, notify the carrier and
the Manufacturer immediately providing photographic evidence.
4.3.2 Storage
If the cooler isn't going to be used for a long period of time, in order to keep the equipment efficient for next
start-up:
Close the make-up water supply;
completely empty the water collection basins (if the stoppage occurs in periods of adiabatic
operation);
Cut-off the electric power supply to the electrical control panel.
There is no need to protect the fans with tarpaulin or covers as they are designed for
outdoor installation.
When putting the equipment back into operation, and in any case when the season approaches in which the
adiabatic system goes into operation, it is advisable to perform visual inspection and thorough cleaning of the
water collection tanks by removing one of the air inlet panels..
For any detail on the periodical checks, consult chapter 8 “Maintenance”.
