9.2 Decommissioning and scrapping
If the machine is taken out of service for a prolonged period prior to being dismantled, indicate its presence
and prevent any access by unauthorised people. Before beginning the disassembly operations, create a
sufficiently large and tidy area around the machine so that all operations can be carried out unhampered by
any risks created by the surroundings.
CAUTION
Observe the prescriptions imposed by the laws in force and the relative authorities in the
country of machine scrapping.
CAUTION
Before proceeding with any type of dismantling work on the machine or its parts, make sure that
it has been disconnected from the electrical and pneumatic power supplies.
IMPORTANT
Within the European Community, electrical equipment must be disposed of in accordance with
the prescriptions set out in Community Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic
equipment (WEEE).
CAUTION
The user must dispose of the equipment at a waste collection centre authorised to handle and
recover WEEE.
CAUTION
It is essential to apply the regulations in force in the country of use on waste disposal, it is
therefore prohibited to disperse any type of processing residues, (lubricants, etc.) in the
environment.
Separate the dismantled machine parts by type for correct disposal aimed at recycling the
various materials and products, in full observance of the regulations in force in the country of
disposal.
