8.5 Troubleshooting
Fault
Action needed to find probable cause
Solution
Electric fan absorbs too
much electricity
Check the direction the air is flowing
through the cooler (direction of rotation
of the fan)
Cut the power to the electric fan
and invert two of the three
phases in the power line
Obstruction on the air intake and output
sections
Remove obstructions if possible
Check the ambient air temperature (if
the ambient air is too cold, the motor
may absorb more than the rated
amount)

Check that the gaps between the fins
and the pipes in the heat exchange
battery are not scaled up or clogged.

Water drawn
outside the unit
Check the correct distribution of the
water on the humidifier pack
Clean the distribution tanks, or
contact the technical office of

Check that the heat exchange battery is
not partially clogged or scaled up.

the tank and/or

Check the correct operation of the
water loading solenoid valve (that it is
not locked in the ON position)
