4.2 Transport
PAD-V series adiabatic coolers are of a size that can be transported on either an open body truck or a
tautliner.
If a tautliner is used, the usable loading height must be 3 metres.
As indicated in the following paragraph, machine handling, and therefore loading and unloading
operations, can be carried out using either a forklift truck or mobile crane with adequate hoisting
characteristics.
To facilitate unloading, the cooler is placed on the flatbed of the vehicle with wooden blocks underneath
so that it can be taken off with a forklift.

When dictated by the width of the vehicle, the yellow plates (see figure below) used for unloading with
a mobile crane are removed from the machine and delivered separately, together with the relative
fasteners. These plates must be repositioned on the machine before the hoisting ropes can be rigged
up.

4.3 Packaging and unpacking
Usually no packaging is necessary: if explicitly requested, simple wooden crates or boxes can be used (the
latter only for sea shipments).
During unloading, the machine parts must be placed on a flat and unbroken surface. Preferably, keep them
separated from the ground using wooden boards or logs.
