4.4 Moving the machine
Great care must always be taken when loading, unloading and final positioning and suitable hoisting
gear must be used.
During handling, only expert personnel in charge of machine positioning must be allowed into the work
area. Said personnel must strictly observe all relevant health and safety regulations.
PAD-V series adiabatic coolers are designed so that they can be handled, i.e. loaded and unloaded,
by either a forklift truck or a mobile crane.
Forklift truck:
minimum fork length 2.5 m
minimum fork width 200 mm
minimum adjustable distance between centres 1.60 m [Ref. 1 - Fig. 7].
Mobile crane:
adequate capacity (check the unladen weight of the machine in the technical data of the
specific model);
use a spreader bar so that the lifting belts or ropes remain spaced from the longitudinal axis of
the machine [Ref. 2 - Fig. 7];
minimum belt length 5.00 m;
sling angle no lower than 60° [Fig. 8];
use only the special yellow rigging plates [Ref. 3 - Fig. 8].

– Lifting the PAD-V
It is recommended to follow the instructions regarding the position of the lifting slings and the lift angle
(no less than 60° with respect to the horizontal).
