6.2 Preliminary checks
Prior to the final commissioning of the installation and after having loaded water or water and glycol (in the
case of the liquid cooler) or refrigerant gas (in the case of the remote condenser) in the primary circuit,
perform the following verifications:
1.
Activate the fans and make sure they rotate in the direction indicated by the arrow on the outside
of the fan base.
Always check the way the fan turns after any repairs or maintenance carried out on the electric motors
and their drives/controls, which have first required a cut-off of the power supply line.
Make sure that there are no abnormal vibrations in the machine as a whole.
2.
Check that the wetting pump is working properly.
IMPORTANT
The pump must only be started when the water level in the sump is adequate for
proper functioning.
3.
Check the seal of all the plumbing joints and the various connection pipes.
4.
Run the wetting pump, fan and primary circuit water recirculation pump simultaneously,
carefully checking the current absorption values of the relevant motors and that said values do
not exceed those on the relative data plates.
In the event of discrepancies or anomalies, check that the voltage and frequency values match
those for which the cooler was designed; if they match, check for other possible cause of the
anomaly.
