Remote Control Software Registry Entries
It can also be necessary to intervene in the registry directly in order to enter the MERK II’s
to be controlled. In such a case, proceed as follows:
•
Open the group
“HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mayah Communications\Centauri remote” in the
Windows registry
•
Create a new sub-registry with the name “IP”.
•
Create three new keys in the sub-registry “IP” with the names
–
Address
–
IPControl
–
Port
•
If more than 1 MERK II is to be controlled, create an own key for each further MERK II
to be controlled in the group “IP” in addition to “Address” with the name
–
Address1 (for the first MERK II)
–
Address2 (for the second MERK II)
–
.... etc.
•
Allocate the following values to the keys
–
Address: IP Address of your momentary MERK II (e.g. “10.0.0.10”)
–
IPControl: “TRUE” for IP Control and “FALSE” for RS232 Control
–
Port: '2000'
Port 2000 in the registry has nothing to do with Port 2001 that is entered in the
MERK II under “Network”! A change of one or both of these values results in
communication problems!
–
Address1: IP Address of the first MERK II to be controlled
–
Address2: IP Address of the second MERK II to be controlled
–
.... etc.
•
Please take into account:
–
All entries are “case sensitive”. In other words, a strict difference is made between
higher and lower case for all entries.
–
The IP Address must correspond to the subnetwork mask of your network.
