8.2.3.

Updating via FTP

To update the MERK II software via RS232/Ethernet interface you have to use the remote
control software. Prerequisite is that it is possible to control from the PC via IP.

•

Select

EXPERT

UPDATE CENTAURI VIA RS232/FTP/INTERNET

. A dialog

window opens.

•

Click on “OK”. A Windows dialog window then opens the file manager /Explorer.

•

Select the desired list, then the desired software file (“*.upd”) and then click on “OK”.

When updating via the Internet, the remote control software itself sets up a connection
to the Internet via the data transmission network of the PC.

The updating routine then runs automatically. The progress of the update is displayed.

Updating via Internet

To update the MERK II software via RS232/Ethernet interface you must use the remote
control software. Prerequisite is that it is possible to control from the PC via IP and there is
an Internet connection.

Updating via the RS232 Remote Port

To update the MERK II software via RS232Remote Port you have to use the remote
control software. Prerequisite is that a control is possible from the PC via RS232.

Click on “OK” in the dialog window. A Windows file manager/Explorer dialog window
opens.

•
