Phonebook
You can enter the numbers of partners you often call in a phone book. These entries can
be activated by simply pressing a key.
Every entry in a phone book is administered by name and contains the respective
communication profile.
The entries appear sorted alphabetically by name.
They can be shifted up and down
on the LC display
with the
and the
keys. An
entry is always shown inverted. This is selected as soon as you press the
*)
key. So that
you don’t have to endlessly scroll up and down in a long list, you can hop to the beginning
of the entries by pressing a number or letter key direct with this symbol. Beyond this, you
can skip to the top of the list by pressing “1”, or to the bottom by pressing “9”.

You can copy a MERK II’s phone book on to a connected PC and save it there. On the
other hand you can also transfer such a telephone file back onto a MERK II where you can
use the entries. You therefore have the possibility of distributing one phone book on to as
many MERK II as you want.
