5.1.7.
Configure ISDN Adapter
If necessary you can set the ISDN adapter. This includes for example the dialling code if
the device is used on an extension system.
To set the ISDN adapter, proceed as follows:
(a) Via the front panel:

Select the
SETUP
option in the Start mask (see
Figure 4
). The Setup mask appears.

Select
ISDN
and press
. The following mask appears:

Select the desired parameter with the
and
keys and press the
key.
•
Enter the desired value using the
and
keys, as well as the numeric keys if
applicable, and then press the
key.
•
Repeat this procedure for each parameter which needs to be changed.
•
Exit the configuration mode by pressing the key.
(b) Via the remote control software:
•
Select
SETTINGS
ISDN
. The following dialog window opens:

Set the necessary values.
Some entries are specific to the country in question and only appear on selecting the D
channel protocol:
B-Channel – To be able to set the MSN of a B channel, the corresponding B channel
must first be selected.
Get Dialtone – The purpose of this item is that a MERK II can be used just as well on a
telephone system as on a multiple device line.
Example: Get Dialtone set to 0 means that all numbers dialed will be preceded by a 0.
Pre-dial No. – Serves to select the service provider. In Germany, Predial No 01033
means that Deutsche Telekom will always be used.

To make the new parameter effective, click on “OK”.
