When logging into the device for the first time, you can only log in via Console
port. After login configuration is complete, you can log in via other modes (such
as telnet).

Cable
S6600 series routing switch provides one “CON” serial port (EIA/TIA-232). With
the port, the user can adopt the PC (or laptop) with the RS-232 serial port to
configure the switch.
To configure the switch via the PC (or laptop), connect according to the following
steps:
Step 1:
Prepare one PC (or laptop). Confirm that the PC (or laptop) has the RS-232 serial port.
Step 2:
After confirming that the switch or PC (or laptop) is powered off, connect the RS-232 serial
port of the PC (or laptop) with the console port of the switch via the console cable (provided
with the device). For the information about the console cable, refer to
.
Step 3:
Insert the RJ45 of the console cable to the configuration serial port of the switch. Insert the
other side DB-9 (hole) of the console cable to the 9-pin serial port socket of the PC (or
laptop).
