To ensure that the device can work normally, it is recommended to maintain
certain humidity in the equipment room. The detailed requirement is described in
the following table.

Long-term work condition 5%–90%/RH
Short-term work condition 0%–95%/RH
� Measuring points of the work temperature and humidity of the S6600 series
routing switch in the equipment room mean the values measured from the
floor above 1.5 m and 0.4 m from the front of the switch when there are no
protection boards;
� The short-term work condition means no more than 48h continuously or no
more than 15 days in accumulation every year.
If the humidity in the equipment room is too high for long time, it causes the poor
insulation and even electricity leak of insulation materials easily. Sometimes, the
mechanical performances of materials change and the metal parts are corroded
easily, too.
If the relative humidity in the equipment room is too low, insulation pads shrink,
which causes the fastened screws loose. Meanwhile, in dry environment, static
electricity appears easily, which harms the circuits on the switch.

According to the actual weight of the installed switch and its accessories (such as
the cabinet, chassis, board and power, etc.), assess the ground load-bearing
requirement and ensure that the ground load-bearing capability of the
installation place meets the requirement. For the weights of the switch
components, refer to Appendix A Specifications for Whole Device and Common
Modules.
