This section describes how to install S6600 series routing switch to the 19-inch

standard cabinet.

3.1.1

Installation

Installation Preparations

Preparations

�

SM6600-04-MF is 1U high, SM6600-08-MF is 16U high, and reserve enough

installation space before installing the device.

�

When installing S6600 series routing switch, check the maximum load

capacity of the cabinet and bracket, the machine room floor in advance (for

the weight of S6600 series routing switch parts, refer to

A Specifications of

Whole Device and Common Modules

). Considering the load, cooling, and

cabling, it is suggested that one standard cabinet is only installed with one

S6600 series routing switch.

�

Check the grounding and stability of the cabinet and ensure that there is no

obstacle inside and around the cabinet affecting the device installation.

�

Reserve enough space around the cabinet (the front and back space is no less

than 0.8m), and the ventilation is normal.
