To reduce the maintenance risk, removing the dust of the board should be
performed when the device service quantity is small.
Because the board is powered on when the device is running and the air
convection during the device cooling, the board inevitably absorbs the charged
particles or dust in the air to form accumulation. When the cleanliness of the air
is poorer and the relative humidity is lower, the absorbing process is stronger.
When the dust accumulates to reach some degree, it will affect the cooling
efficiency of the board and electrical insulation performance, causing the security
risk for the stable running of the device.
To ensure that the device can run stably for a long time, the maintaining staff
should regularly remove the dust for all service cards of the device completely
(twice a year is recommended). The related steps are as follows:
Step 1:
Prepare the standby board: When the maintaining staff is ready to remove the dust for the
board in the device, first prepare one standby board.
Step 2:
Change the card. For the changing steps, refer to
Step 3:
Remove the dust for the replaced board.

There are many methods of removing the dust for the board, but the general
principle is not to damage the physical and electrical features of the board.

When using the vacuum cleaner to remove the dust, use the clean and dry
anti-static soft brush to remove the dust on the board surface lightly.
Meanwhile, use the sucking mouth of the vacuum cleaner to align with the
anti-static brush for brushing and absorbing. The advantages of the vacuum
cleaner are simple to operate and low cost, but it cannot remove the dust
completely and cannot remove the harmful dust on the board surface
effectively.

When using the cleaner to remove the dust, use the private cleaner of the dry,
non-corrosive, non-conductive, and highly-volatile circuit board to remove the
